Role Overview:
Business Development Associate are responsible for shaping the future of service by modernizing the client experience through an elevated standard of care. The BSO reports directly to the Market Business Service Officer (MBSO) and oversees the supervision and management of Support Professionals, as well as the execution of all business and service functions within assigned branches.
Education & Experience:
A bachelor's degree or its educational equivalent is a fundamental requirement
Previous industry experience
Certification in Series 7 (GS), Series 9 and 10 (SU), and Series 66 (AG/RA) or alternatively Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA) is required to be current
Extra licenses as necessary based on management directives
Knowledge & Skills:
The proficiency in communicating well through writing and speaking is vital
Precise attention to specifics
Ability to prioritize and resolve intricate needs skillfully, escalating when deemed appropriate
The knack for identifying issues and trends to predict change and deliver comprehensive solutions
Displaying concrete proof of effective leadership prowess and talent enhancement skills
Previous experience as a supervisor is a plus

Key responsibilities include:
Elevating the communication and training standards for Service Professionals
Collaborating closely with Market Sales and Risk teams to ensure comprehensive execution across the company
Supporting the MBSO's endeavors to enhance service delivery
Direct the branch in carrying out the strategic objectives of the organization by inspiring and mentoring individuals to adopt new behaviors, focusing on consistency, quality, and conformity
Provide direction, mentorship, and supervision to a team of Support and Service Representatives
Promote a supportive environment that fosters the growth and recognition of Service and Support Professionals to drive employee engagement and retention
Assist in managing the recruitment process, selection procedures, and orientation activities for new hires, such as Financial Advisors and their Support Professionals
Collaborate with MBSO and the Human Resources department on managing personnel, which involves tasks like carrying out evaluations, overseeing performance, and dealing with conflicts effectively
Maintain robust connections with essential collaborators within the Branch, Market, Region, and Home Office; participate in team conferences, regional, and national symposiums
Hold regular private sessions with Support Professionals for coaching purposes, goal setting, job-related tasks, and developing team relationships
Coordinate the support coverage provided to financial advisors by the team of professionals in the branch
Spot recognition opportunities for Support Professionals through the distribution of best practices, achievements, and success narratives
Cultivate a branch atmosphere that champions diversity and inclusion in line with Corporate values
