At Renewal Memory Partners, we are committed to providing dependable, compassionate, and high-quality care to our clients. We are looking for reliable and experienced female Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our dedicated care team and provide consistent 24/7 care for a male client in Brooklyn.

Location: 400 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY 11223

Schedule: 24/7 Care Coverage

  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

What We’re Looking For

  • Reliable and dependable caregivers

Responsibilities:

  • Providing companionship to older adults and people with chronic health conditions in their homes (e.g., discussing current events, creating artwork, reviewing photo albums).
  • Providing compassionate, patient hands-on personal care support for ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transfers.
  • Planning activities outside the home and accompanying clients to keep them engaged with the world and their favorite pastimes (e.g., trips to museums, concerts, plays, or the park).
  • Escorting clients to doctors’ appointments.
  • Running errands for clients (e.g., grocery shopping, sundries).
  • Reminding clients to take their medications.
  • Doing light exercise with clients (e.g., helping with stretching routine or prescribed physical therapy).
  • Assisting clients in preparing meals.
  • Performing light housekeeping, such as dusting, tidying, and laundry.

Qualifications:We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds including the creative arts and healthcare fields. Our employment is selective. Strong candidates possess:

  • A valid HHA certificate in New York State
  • A passion for caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Prior experience working with this population is valued, but not required.
  • An accredited high school diploma, though we prefer candidates with college and advanced degrees.
  • Deep empathy and patience.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and responsiveness.
  • Creativity and a positive, open-hearted approach.
  • Strong composure under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust-based relationships with clients and their families.
